Elizabeth " Betsey" Carlisle Beasley, Esq.
Attorney
Elizabeth “Betsey” Carlisle Beasley is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and longtime resident of Bulloch County, Georgia. She attended Georgia Southern University and received her B.S. in Sociology/Social Work (1993) and Master of Public Administration (1997). She also graduated from Savannah Law School, passing the Georgia Bar in 2017. As an undergraduate, Betsey studied education at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland through a study abroad program.
As a law student, she studied International Corporate Law and the European Union in Venice, Italy, through a study abroad program with Vanderbilt Law School. Prior to attending law school in her early 40’s, Betsey’s career was diverse with much of her work history utilizing her education in social work and public administration. She’s worked at the Department of Family and Children Services as a CPS worker and in the mental health field as a mental health professional and prevention specialist. Betsey eventually started a business in Statesboro, Georgia, around 2003, establishing an education center under the name, Conner’s Place, in honor of her late son. At Conner’s Place, she provided community programming for public and nonprofit agencies, which included owning and running a state-certified family violence program and a Georgia-licensed driving school, among countless other programs in the 15 years Conner’s Place served southeast Georgia.
After 20 years of working with community intervention and prevention programming, Betsey decided to follow in the footsteps of her brother, father, uncles, grandfather and great-grandfather and practice law. Her preferred areas of practice include state and federal criminal law, workers’ compensation, contract, employment, and family law. Her passion for the study of law pales only in comparison to the love she has for her children, Angel Conner, Terry, Jr., Abby, Ansley, and Brandon, and her husband, Terry, Sr.
